Blue-Plate 1965 Iso Rivolta For Sale
This 1965 Iso Rivolta is said to have belonged to the same owner since 1970, which is about when those blue California plates would have been issued. The seller also believes much of the red paint to be original, and he says that the underside is solid and not overly rusty. Borrani wire wheels, automatic transmission and A/C make this a very highly optioned car. Find this project here on eBay in Northridge, California. Special thanks to BaT reader Seth C. for this submission!

The paint is plenty crazed and sun-baked, but if it is truly original it could give good insight into whether the car was ever in an accident. If the owner of all those years could comment on more of the history, this could be one of the better Rivolta starting points. The bumpers and trim look to be very straight.

Inside the cream colored interior looks mostly intact, and the biggest shocker is the automatic transmission. We've never seen another Rivolta on offer with an automatic. That passenger door looks like it is a dark gray or black color underneath the door panel. Does that mean that the car might have been another color originally? We don't know whether Iso's wore body color paint under the door panels.
The engine bay looks neglected but complete and minimally modified. The 327 Chevrolet V8 has not run since 1985, but luckily this is an engine that can be rebuilt by just about any machine shop or mechanic.
This is an interessting project that will likely take a handsome sum to put back on the road. It is too ratty to drive as is, so this one is likely only a candidate for a full restoration. It will be interesting to watch the bidding.
